Oxford University Press is looking for an Educational Consultant who will be responsible for business development, organizing and conducting product presentations to educators, calling on schools, key booksellers and libraries to generate sales, and coordinating provincial activities.
The Educational Consultant will be reporting to the Regional Manager: Western Cape & Northern Cape. This post is based in the Northern Cape.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets for front and backlist titles.
  • Understanding Oxford University Press position in the market.
  • Develop and implement monthly and weekly sales plans for allocated territories.
  • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Calling on schools, district education officials, key bookseller and libraries to generate sales.
  • Conducting product presentations and facilitating workshops for educators.
  • years or more experience in sales
  • Relevant National Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Education
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Strong negotiation skills and problem solving
  • Able to maintain and foster business relationships
  • Experience in publishing environment including both print and digital
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in data analytics, CRM and Qlikview
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to conduct market research
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge of teaching methodology advantageous
  • Able to manage budgets effectively
