Faculty Appointment Types Full-time Probationary Job Summary
The Prince George Campus is seeking an Educational Developer to support Work Integrated Learning (WIL) initiatives. This position reports to the Dean of Teaching and Learning and works in a collaborative team environment to plan and implement work integrated and experiential learning best practices and pedagogy in teaching, program delivery and resource development at CNC. Following a reflective and evidence-based practice, this position acts as an internal consultant for individuals, groups, and college administration, offering specific expertise in work integrated and experiential learning that enhances pedagogical practices in classrooms and communities. The Educational Developer (WIL) takes a leadership role in advocating for and creating an institutional environment supportive of teaching and learning excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with faculty and staff to identify/develop, implement, and assess work integrated and experiential learning opportunities and strategies.
  • Advising and teaching faculty to apply effective pedagogical practices through individual and group consultations, workshops, and other programs.
  • Developing initiatives to link college curriculum programs and qualifying college students to available job opportunities in the labour market.
  • Identify and foster partnerships and networks that result in WIL opportunities to benefit and support college students and graduates.
  • Developing initiatives such as communities of practice, special events, and micro-credentials that support work integrated and experiential learning.
  • Creating documents, guides and reports that support work integrated and experiential learning.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education
  • Experience in post-secondary education with an in-depth knowledge of the principles of adult learning, and teaching and learning strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to the design, implementation, and assessment of teaching resources/strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and strong focus on work integrated and experiential learning models
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Excellent coaching, facilitation and communicative skills

• Excellent management and leadership skills • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty and administration

  • Excellent interpersonal, as well as communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong detail-orientation
