DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a new Educational Partnerships Officer to join our friendly and busy Centre for Educational Partnerships (CEP) in supporting the overall management and coordination of educational partnerships on behalf of the University.
This role provides key support to the PVC (Partnership Strategy), Head of Educational Partnerships and Assistant Heads of Educational Partnerships in implementing various aspects of CEP owned processes and procedures for the approval, enactment and ongoing operational management of educational partnerships and implementation of the objectives of the University’s Educational Partnerships Strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will ideally have a strong understanding of the higher education environment and processes, as well as familiarity with the purpose and remit of the various regulatory bodies, such as the Office for Students (OfS), and experience of effective working with a range of internal and external stakeholders in any context.
We are looking for someone with a strong approach to project management, with a clear ability to be guided by established process and precedents, but where needed, a demonstrable capability to use initiative, experience and judgement to resolve day-to-day issues while suggesting options and making recommendations to address more complex problems. You must have a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team and be able to communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including academic and professional services staff, partner contacts, regulatory bodies, recruitment agents, etc.
You should be flexible, resilient and adaptive, with a positive approach to change and excellent attention to detail. Our work sometimes involves a need for confidentiality, so a demonstrable ability to deal sensitively with confidential information is a must.
Responsibilities:
As Educational Partnerships Officer, you will work on various workstreams associated with our educational partnerships, including development and implementation of sub-projects stemming from current partnerships, establishment of new partnerships and relationship management and training between the University and our partner institutions. You will travel regularly to visit our partner institutions across the UK, with some international travel required, and complete reports and recommendations trackers following each visit.
In addition to daily partnership working focused on various workstreams, the Educational Partnerships Officer has a particular focus on additional areas such as contract management and compliance, implementing the process for collection of term dates and academic calendars on an intake-by-intake basis, analysis of partner and programme data, forecasting projected intake numbers and undertaking regular partner monitoring activities on the University’s behalf, as well as leading internal and external communications, training and events. You will additionally play a key role in the development and implementation of operational responsibilities guidance and management of exit strategies and end of partnership activities.
