Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Educational Partnerships Officer supports operational activities across the Faculty of Medicine’s Collaborative Partnerships team. The team is responsible for developing and managing an expanding portfolio of medical education partnerships in the UK and internationally.
A key focus of the role is the co-ordination of governance and quality assurance activity relating to medical degree programmes delivered collaboratively with Imperial’s partner institutions. This will include close liaison with colleagues in Singapore, where Imperial has partnered with Nanyang Technological University to deliver a joint medical degree, through to 2028.
The role also supports the establishment of new education partnerships and co-ordination of student mobility programmes and a range of partner related projects.
The role holder will support a highly skilled and collegiate international team with a track record of success and will work in close proximily to senior faculty leadership colleagues.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

Key areas of responsibility of the Educational Partnerships Officer include:
Governance and quality assurance (QA): Work with the Collaborative Partnerships Manager to deliver the cycle of QA and governance activity for collaborative medical degree programmes. This will include oversight of curriculum changes and academic policy development.
Committee work: The servicing of formal committees both at Imperial and with our partners, ensuring that partnership matters are well represented. This will include preparing documentation and materials, contributing to papers, providing briefing notes, minutes and ensuring that ensuing actions are completed.
New partnership development: Support the establishment and development of new international collaborative partnerships and associated educational activities, ensuring all implications of potential regulatory changes and practices are scoped, communicated and achieved.
Relationship management: Using their knowledge, expertise and strong interpersonal communication skills, the post holder will maintain and manage excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external, providing an excellent level of operational service.

The role requires exceptional administrative skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a proactive, independent approach to working within a busy and collegiate team setting. The post requires excellent communication skills in terms of stakeholder engagement and networking and requires a person who is willing to learn about, and able to tactfully negotiate with, transnational educational partners, students/student groups, NHS Healthcare Trusts, GP practices and other stakeholders.
