Description:
As an educational support assistant for the Department of Animal Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, you will support various chair groups. You will collaborate with lecturers and educational coordinators from these groups to deliver top-quality education. As an educational support assistant, you are responsible for the administrative and logistical organization of the education, so that lecturers can focus on the content.Your tasks and responsibilities as an educational support assistant are:
- Logistical support in the organization of courses and exams (including scheduling, booking rooms, educational materials, student registrations, group divisions, etc.);
- Expertise and point of contact for the digital learning environment Brightspace. You help lecturers to use this platform optimally for their teaching;
- Support in various educational software programs (e.g., LabBuddy and Osiris);
- Monitoring communication with students and lecturers (e.g., managing shared course email boxes, ensuring central information such as yearly education planning is communicated to lecturers).
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
You will be working on our green campus in Wageningen for the Department of Animal Sciences. With twelve chair groups, we study the function, biology, and behavior of animals. We provide high-quality education about animals for various bachelor’s and master’s programs, mainly Animal Sciences and Biology. In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3040,- and €4149,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 8). For this role, we are looking for two candidates. One for a 21-hour contract and one for a 15-hour contract. As for your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract that can be extended - if possible within (company) organizational circumstances - on good performance.
