  1. Total Number of employees in staff accommodation: 5000 (approximately)
  2. Number of EKFC owned Camps: 732

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, this job ensures that the accommodation provided to employees from EKFC is maintained as per EKFC quality standards at all times and any issues relating to staff behavior, safety, security, infrastructure, hygiene etc. impacting the overall well-being and environment on site is proactively highlighted and effectively resolved

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. To allocate employees into rooms as per the allocation list sent by the Accommodation Manager or his team at the corporate and to ensure smooth
    induction of new employees by planning and implementing the same with the accommodation assistants. Also, to effectively coordinate with the ER team
    on new staff training and allocation of work so as to assist the new employees in starting work at office.
  2. To design and plan appropriate system of observation, inspection, hazard control, training and implementation metrics on the safety, hygiene, and
    technical/ equipment maintenance of the camp and to closely supervise the housing assistant in implementing the same to ensure daily compliance.
  3. To indirectly supervise upon the Security personnel so as to verify hours of duty and coverage to appropriately highlight to Accommodation Manager any
    slack in security arrangements provided to the camp through the third-party contractor.
  4. To assess risk and coordinate with the respective departments on site to resolve any gap highlighted based on the daily audit and conformance reports
    prepared around hygiene, safety, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, security etc. and to highlight to accommodation manager in case of any critical or unresolved issues.
  5. To prepare weekly reports on day *’to-day activity at a camp covering hygiene, safety, security, maintenance, employee behaviors, occupancy, accounts, budget etc. while highlighting to the Housing Manager unresolved issues, risks and any other concern that is present or anticipated in the camp
  6. With the support of Housing assistants, to monitor staff behavior 24X7 against the established code of conduct and to immediately address any on *’site
    occurrence of misconduct and based on the assessment of risk and criticality to be escalated immediately or later to the Housing Manager to maintain
    healthy and safe environment at the camp. The misconduct after on-site resolution to be referred to ER team through Housing Manager for investigation and closure.
  7. To assess the physical environment at the camp so as to mitigate any current or anticipated risk and based on assessment of risk and criticality to escalate immediately or later to the Housing Manager.
  8. With the support of Housing Assistants, to ensure that any employee who is not well due to accident or any sickness to receive immediate first aid and is provided with appropriate medical attention in coordination with EKFC medical facility and company doctor. Based on the criticality of the situation,
    to decide on the need of an ambulance or emergency admission into a hospital and the same to be immediately highlighted to the Housing Manager for requisite approvals.
  9. Prepare work schedule and plan, organize and supervise the work of housing assistants to manage leave and absence to ensure 24X7 coverage of the
    camp by qualified first aid accommodation assistant so that the camp is not left unattended any time.
  10. To assess purchase requirement of any non *’ food item and to prepare requisition for the same if any for approval from the Housing Manager.
  11. To supervise and responsible for managing the shared resources - Barber, Tailor and stores used in camps so that the shared resources are effectively
    utilized and assigned as per the requirement.
  12. To ensure employee welfare to propose and organize based on approval any program around social get-together, festivals, notice board etc.
  13. To support Housing Manager in improving the overall cost, efficiency and management of the camp by providing positive recommendation and fact- driven cases studie
