- Specialist for occupational safety.
- Qualification in the field of HSE.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English and good German language skills.
- The Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Certificate (Sifa).

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing EHS programmes and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments and promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness. You will also provide training, lead incident investigations and work to continuously improve safety and environmental practices in the workplace. As an EHS Lead, you will work with various departments to integrate EHS standards into daily operations and support the overall well-being of employees and the environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiatives are effectively integrated at site level.
- Develop, implement and execute HSE annual targets (KPI), improvement plans and regulatory requirements in conjunction with site operations management and the division HSE manager.
- Manage all site specific environmental permits and programme requirements.
- Lead the implementation and management of the site’s ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 Environmental Management System.
- Conduct regular audits/inspections of the site (including inspections of machinery, equipment in use and working systems in operation).
- Identify HSE training needs at the site, develop appropriate resources and deliver training to employees and managers as required.
- Organise and oversee site safety committee meetings.
- Support site managers in the investigation of HSE incidents at the site. Where appropriate, lead the investigation process and/or liaise with appropriate company personnel on serious incidents.
- Timely, thorough and effective communication of HSE incidents and corrective actions.
- Participate in and support the plant safety team, including reviewing physical site security and safety situations as they develop.
- Conduct hazard and exposure analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Organise and manage HSE documentation to ensure compliance with company policy and/or regulatory requirements, including incident reporting, safety metrics, training, inspections and permits, etc.
- Advise project management personnel on HSE requirements related to the design, implementation, utilisation and decommissioning of manufacturing processes, equipment and materials.
- Act as liaison with various external authorities or sources (government agencies and group insurers, etc.) as appropriate.
- Maintain KIRMS and support group insurance review.
