THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Manager to lead our EHS team in new project in Novo Nordisk. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
The position is based in Odense, Denmark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the EHS team, providing guidance, training, and support for optimal performance.
  • Drive execution of the Circular for Zero Strategy, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including fire and construction safety standards.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools for data transparency and effective performance management, identifying improvement opportunities and coordinating with project teams.
  • Engage in global EHS network groups to learn, share insights, and contribute expertise across sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this position, you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience managing health, construction, fire, process safety, physical security, and business resilience projects with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on motivating and developing team members.
  • In-depth understanding of Health and Safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Danish and English, with strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building abilities to support collaborative health and safety initiatives.
