Position Summary:
As the lead contact for their nominated business area, the successful incumbent is expected to lead EHS management system, ensuring robust compliance UK legislation and Thermo Fisher Safety standards. The role requires you to pro-actively engage with key customers to empower the team on EHS and Environmental compliance to keep staff safe and with safety mind-set. The position reports direct to site EHS Manager, Swindon.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (pass in all modules) (Crucial);
  • NEBOSH Diploma or similar qualification (Desirable)*;
  • Environmental qualification (Desirable)*;
  • Fire management qualifications (Desirable);
  • Driving Licence (Crucial);
  • Experience with health and safety systems, e.g. risk assessments, incident reporting, emergency planning and response (Crucial);
  • Experience in environmental and waste management systems (Desirable);
  • Experience with design reviews, HAZOP or FMEA including ATEX / DSEAR elements (Desirable);
  • Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring programmes, including APIs (Desirable);
  • ISO14001 experience (45001) (Desirable);
  • Experience in delivering training to internal customers (Desirable);
  • Auditing and investigation experience (Desirable);
  • Computer literate, excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills (Essential).
