Description:

We are looking for an EIA Associate to support the growth of our well established, EIA/SEA Team.
This is a hybrid role. The positions can be based in our Dublin, Galway, Cork, Sligo and Kilkenny offices.

KEY SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

  • Proven knowledge of relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation e.g. EIA Directive and transposing Regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Habitats Directive, and the Appropriate Assessment (AA) process is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is also desirable.
  • Experience in coordinating planning applications and associated documentation.
  • Excellent organisational and coordinating skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.
  • Commercial awareness, ability to define scopes of work and to deliver projects on budget.
  • Must have worked as part of a wider team with experience of managing deliverables to deadlines.
  • Hard working, pragmatic and highly motivated individual - client focused with good interpersonal skills and team approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in science or engineering with an environmental component.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities associated with the role will be:

  • Lead a team of high performing professionals in delivering EIA/SEA projects
  • Manage and oversee EIA/SEA projects for key infrastructure/policy development, including budget management and delivering on client expectations
  • Oversee, guide and manage technical specialists, sub-consultants and junior team members to deliver project requirements
  • Take ownership of projects from inception to completion to clients
  • Prioritise projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources and project deadlines
  • Win new work by preparing and overseeing the preparation of fee proposals, identifying opportunities in the marketplace and ensuring a steady workflow
  • You will be working with the team on multi-disciplinary projects across a wide range of sectors and liaising with clients and other relevant stakeholders
