Description:
This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and require regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.
The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate (GLO) – International Partners Department (IP) – Financial Inclusion Division (FIN INC), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering
- A first experience in (investment) banking, central banking, or management consulting would be considered a distinct advantage
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular Excel)
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Support counterpart credit risk analysis
- Assist in the financial sector analysis
- Support the review of regulatory regimes and supervisory standards
- Assist in the analysis of (financial) market and sector trends
- Perform peer group analysis
- Assist in the preparation of loan appraisal documentation
- Provide ad-hoc support in preparation of conferences, missions, and meetings.
