Description:
This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and require regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.
The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Operations Directorate (OPS) – Public Sector Department (PS) – Austria, Germany and Nordics Division (PS-6) – AT&DE Unit (AT&DE)*, at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or University degree in Economics, Banking, Finance or similar studies;
- Ability to read and understand financial statements;
- A first experience in financial/credit analysis will be considered an advantage;
- Very good knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular Word, Excel, Power Point);
- Ability to write credit-related documents (e.g. financial analysis, reports) in English;
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Head of Unit, you will actively participate in the Division’s core activities. Your main tasks will be:
- Preparation of market analysis and research on topics of interest of the Division;
- Preparation of speaking notes and presentations for staff of the Division;
- Market analysis/sounding to identify potential clients for origination purposes;
- Review of information / project data received from external counterparts and input into the Bank’s systems and internal reports;
- Collection and analysis of financial statement data in support of the credit assessment process;
- Analysis of the portfolio of the Division in Germany.
