Description:
This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and require regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment.
The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate (GLO) – Corporate Finance and Global Activities Department (CFGA) – Corporates Division (CORP), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or university degree in economic studies or Master degree in Business Management, with a major in Financial analysis or Corporate Finance.
- You are expected to be familiar with financial analysis. Prior experience or additional studies (such as CFA I level) in that field would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of French, Spanish or other EU languages will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Under the close supervision of the respective Loan Officer, you will be responsible for drafting the Financial Note of the prospective clients identified by the Loan Officer. You will be expected to participate in various internal meetings with the different services of the Bank (in particular with the Credit risk department counterparts) as well as meetings with the prospective clients. In addition, you could be asked to provide relevant inputs in various internal notes and documents related to the projects you will be responsible of.
