Description:

The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Risk & Compliance Directorate (GR&C) – Group Financial Risk Department (GFIN) – Risk Data and Processes Division (RDP) – Data and Reporting Governance Unit (DRG), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2025)
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Final year of studies or University degree in relevant domain, preferably Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics or related fields
- Experience in databases or knowledge of any programming language or BI reporting tool such as Business Objects would be an advantage
- Experience in internal audit, internal controls or accounting would be an advantage
- Knowledge of data management and/or governance topics would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Bank’s purpose, organization and business activities
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the ICF Coordinator in Risk Management (GR&C-RM) in the annual maintenance process, by:
- Updating risks and controls for GR&C-RM in HOPEX application,
- Participating in meetings with RM teams and keeping meeting minutes,
- Performing analysis linked to quarterly internal reporting;
- Perform the annual reviews for scheduled reports in Business Objects with Risk Management teams; review Business Objects cover pages compliance with EIB Reporting Governance Framework etc.
- Support the data officers in the team in updating IBM Business Glossary, contributing thus to the production of data quality dashboards for Key Risk Indicators and critical data elements
- Support the annual review of data ownership by providing additional explanation to data owners and update the Business Glossary when applicable.
