The Processing Branch sits within the Client Benefits Division and is focused on providing high quality service and determinations on benefits available for Australian Defence Force Members who suffer injuries or contract diseases as a result of their service.
An opportunity exists within the Processing Branch for a motivated individual to, in partnership with Ex-Service Organisations, facilitate information exchanges on best practice claims processing and the promotion of available DVA health and wellbeing services nationally.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders nationally to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes, facilitate cooperation and establish joint program initiatives
- Promote the Department’s business objectives through key strategic relationships with a range of Ex-Service Organisations and veteran representatives
- Represent and explain the views of the Department at cross-agency meetings and other forums
- Provide and facilitate expertise across a broad range of activities potentially relating to the work of different program areas
- Take responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes, monitor progress and follow through to deliver quality outcomes for the veteran community
- Engage with risk, including the conduct of risk assessment and risk management activities for area of responsibility
- Coordinate strategic planning for longer-term project initiatives and program management
- Report on program outcomes to internal and external stakeholders through the preparation of briefing material and analytical reports
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
