Description:

- $137,323 - $161,840 plus 15.4% Superannuation - Individual Flexible Agreement may be negotiated for successful candidate

Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the People and Culture branch, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Provide management and leadership of human resources services including Work Health Safety, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, recruitment, workforce reporting, learning and development, workplace relations, performance management, conduct and succession planning.
- Participate and oversee various forums including the Employee Consultative Committee and the Work Health Safety Committee.
- Build collaborative and trusting working relationships with the Executive Board to provide complex and sensitive advice to meet business needs and objectives across the agency.
- Through effective business partnering, actively promote best practice in the delivery of human resources services and a culture of collaboration and diversity across the agency.
- Promote APS behaviours to support the agency’s culture, ensuring the agency meets its employer obligations as a model employer for the APS.
- Oversee complex case management including but not limited to areas of underperformance, misconduct, injury, and rehab and other employment related matters.
- Ensure the agency has appropriate policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements and that they are fit for purpose.
- Actively build sustainable relationships within the agency, across the APS and with external stakeholders including key strategic relationships such as shared services (for payroll)
