JOB DESCRIPTION

The Customer Account Manager is a strategic position representing multiple channel functions within U.S. Bank Payment Solutions. This position oversees a regional portfolio of existing customers and is tasked with activation, management, maintenance, growth in profitability, strategic product placement and overall client satisfaction. A successful Customer Account Manager is a trusted advisor with established industry expertise and provides clients with strategic recommendations using data analytics, industry knowledge and performance metrics to help meet client expectations. The position serves as a point of escalation for both internal partners as well as clients and works cross-functionally within the organization to provide exceptional experiences for our partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and strategic guidance to clients
  • Champion and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
  • Aim to preserve customers and renew agreements
  • Execute successful portfolio campaigns to drive product and revenue growth opportunities
  • Assist in customer activation
  • Develop sound working knowledge of the Region supported
  • Grow and maintain productive partner and customer relationships
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance the customer experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two or more years of client/portfolio management experience in the financial industry

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in relationship management

  • Excellent customer service and follow up skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills

Location: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside of the location for the other days.
