Qualifications:

  • Completion of grade twelve (12) including business subjects related to training in computer applications or completion of an appropriate certification program from an approved school/college
  • Experience working in an administrative capacity at the City or a large organization or municipality
  • Knowledge of general office practices, records keeping, customer service skills and dealing with the publi

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors to the elections office, including candidates, public members, and election workers, and provide assistance as needed
  • Respond to inquiries and share information regarding election processes, deadlines, and requirements
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and neutrality in all interactions, safeguarding personal and sensitive information
  • Maintain and update candidate records related to nominations
  • Assist in preparing reports, meeting agendas, and minutes related to candidate nominations and elections
  • Support the registration of political parties, slates, and third-party advertisers by facilitating information flow and managing appointment bookings
