Description:

This technical customer facing role will act as first point of contact for electric motor customers. You will assist the customer with installation, troubleshooting and maintenance support remotely for light electric vehicles.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical Degree in electro-mechanical or similar preferred, other disciplines will be considered.
  • 2+ years experience with electric motors for light electrical vehicles or small engines
  • Relevant experience with light electric vehicles, outdoor power equipment or related applications and industries preferred.
  • Technical aptitude skills is essential
  • Knowledge of battery systems is preferred
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • Understanding of basic Quality tools, reporting and analysis for in depth problem solving.
  • Valid drivers license required

Responsibilities:

  • Remotely troubleshoot electromechanical systems, including software, mechanical and electrical hardware, to identify and remediate issues for customer/field failures as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer support as first point of contact
  • Ability to maintain and build strong positive customer relationships
  • Develop internal/external documentation
  • Investigate and document recurring or trending product related issues to provide feedback and recommendations to management
  • Initiating RMA’s including analysis, testing, reporting to review with Applications leader
  • Support product warranty program including warranty/RMA replacements, tracking and shipping to respective customers.
  • Maintain all updates in ASI’s systems
  • Maintain updates in Quality database listing all product failure modes and the associated root causes for each.
  • Provide any quality or testing support as needed.
  • Maintain detailed familiarity with ASI’s Products and Technologies
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisorMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
