We are looking for a motivated engineering professional to join our Controls & Automation Team in Krakow Engineering Center. As an Electrical Analysis Engineer, you will be providing engineering expertise for the evaluation of integrated oil/gas solutions across the entirety of system architectural designs and to devise baseline requirements for equipment manufacturing to ensure functionality, performance, quality, safety, health, and environmental protection criteria. You will be working in close cooperation with Systems Engineering Group in Kongsberg, Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Performing electrical power transmission and signal communication analysis
  • Performing integrated front-end analysis engineering to identify minimal cost solutions for subsea/ offshore production systems including electrical and communications distribution architectures
  • Creating and publishing analysis reports and presenting to internal and external project team stakeholders
  • Performing numerical analysis for electrical power supply and transmission systems, communication package equipment and signal distribution including electrical communications
  • Defining needed input data for system components in order to produce high fidelity simulations for equipment architectures and work with clients and equipment suppliers to develop common understanding and agreement on data needs
  • Supporting identification of system architecture risks including failure and recovery modes and automated/autonomous shutdown systems and their analysis
  • Helping in the documentation and negotiation of system and product requirements in collaboration with Systems Engineering

You are meant for this job if

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Professional experience will be a great asset
  • Broad knowledge of electrical system components such as transmission lines, cables, switches, fuses, power transformers, line transformers, electric filters, etc.
  • Ability to use electrical circuit simulation tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, MicroCap, MATLAB/Simulink or similar tool
  • Accuracy, dependability and high attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written - B2
