Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program or Instrumentation Engineering Technology at an accredited post-secondary institution
  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
  • Please attach your most recent transcripts with your application

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing solutions to technical issues and verifying the implementation of these solutions
  • Understand and optimize current operations and develop, maintain and implement a long-term depletion plan and make forecasts by using numerical simulation
  • Develop tools for tracking process data for analysis and metrics reporting
  • Review daily production data for accuracy and bring together in data management systems
  • Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports, graphical representation and presentations, as required
  • Build and assist with developing production profiles to support long range plans
  • Optimize completion designs of pumps, instrumentation, flow controls and tubular

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is a 4, 8 or 12-month work term starting in January 2025. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application.
  • Locations include Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo), or Calgary
  • Relocation assistance will be provided if required
  • Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote challenges associated with the region
