As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in our projects, bringing your experience and technical expertise to the table. Your responsibilities will include leading our internal project team of engineers and support staff, overseeing, and guiding the electrical design processes, ensuring compliance with codes, industry standards and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS: YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized Canadian (or equal) university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to apply critical thinking and reasoning to decision making process;
- Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team is essential;
- An understanding of Canadian commercial construction methods and design processes;
- Desire to develop skills and expand career;
- Candidate must have extremely strong general computer skills and must be able to learn new programs quickly;
- Candidate must be self-motivated and be able to manage multiple priorities;
- Demonstrated experience with office software such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.);
- Registration or eligibility to register with APEGM as a E.I.T.
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WOULD BE CONSIDERED AN ASSET:
- Experience with Autodesk Revit;
- Field experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with design and modeling software such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, Energy Plus
