MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

At least 1 year of consulting engineering experience, specifically in the building industry with electrical projects

Responsibilities:

The Electrical Designer will be based out of our Kelowna office. Working under the direction of more senior Eningeers the Electrical Designer will be responsible for modelling electrical systems (in AutoCAD and/or Revit) for commercial and institutional building projects.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop construction document packages in AutoCAD and/or Revit, designing a building’s electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications.
  • Integrate electrical details into the working drawings.
  • Research for the sourcing of equipment and vendors.
  • Apply AutoCAD and Revit standards following AES procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide support for plotting and sending of electronic file submissions.
  • Attend field reviews with Project Managers and/or Field Service Representatives
  • Liaise with Architects, Interior Designers, and other disciplines.
  • Other duties assigned as necessary.
