Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Distribution Manager to join our Industrial and Infrastructure Business line in the Burnaby office.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the construction of 600 V to 25 kV BC Hydro Distribution Infrastructure, encompassing overhead and underground equipment.
  • Play a pivotal role in building a team from the ground up, ensuring the successful implementation of projects and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Develop end-of-life replacement strategies for distribution equipment, including poles, transformers, junction boxes, service boxes, vaults, and cables.
  • Utilize SPIDAcalc software to design wood poles and framing.
  • Work within BC Hydro DAD GIS system to update asset information.
  • Create work order construction packages using BC Hydro SAP / Passport system.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to review existing equipment and assess project requirements.
  • Collaborate with BC Hydro Owner’s Engineers to ensure quality assurance and constructability of designs.
  • Generate Job Planning Folder (JPF) documentation to summarize project scope and risks.
  • Coordinate work activities with other disciplines and stakeholders, such as civil engineering, environmental, property owners, and municipalities.
  • Track the design status of assets and completing regular progress reporting requirements.
