Description:
Amentum is actively seeking a self starting Electrical Engineer in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with power system analysis calculations and tools.
- Experience with electrical one line diagrams, electrical load lists, schematics, wiring diagrams and circuit/conduit schedules.
- Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
- Advanced level of understanding of power systems, lighting, power & control, grounding, and lightning protection system design.
- Experience with the Electrical Classification of hazardous areas.
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Microstation, and Visual.
- Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced in engineering and design for industrial process facilities
- DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience
- Experience in using SKM, ETAP and/or Easypower
- Experience in using BIM, Revit, and/orAutoCAD MEP
- Advanced level of experience in communications and security systems
