AGL’s Renewables Engineering team is seeking an innovative Electrical Engineer - Wind, who is keen to be at the forefront of the energy transition focusing on AGL’s wind assets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Asset Management – developing asset management strategies aligned to the business and site requirements and also in line with internal procedures and ISO55000.
  • Risk Management – Review risks and implement effective risk management plans with control measure to mitigate risks onsite to as low as reasonably practicable.
  • Performance Analysis – assessing asset performance, addressing technical issues and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of solutions.
  • Regulatory compliance – ensuring compliance with all NEM requirements, electrical safety and asset integrity standards and HSE programs, while maintaining effective relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Innovation and Improvement – Championing change initiatives, enhancing business performance cost efficiency while ensuring the safety and asset performance.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in asset management, risk evaluation and delivering reliability and efficiency improvements in operational assets.
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of electrical equipment, with a solutions-focused approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Asset Management Principles and Risk Assessment requirements.
  • Active engagement with key stakeholders and site teams
  • Exhibits strong sense of ownership and shows initiative to problem solving.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and works well within a team environment.
  • Experience in operating or maintaining wind turbines or wind farms desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chartered Professional Engineer or eligible to be Chartered
  • Capable of registering for the National Engineering Register
