THE OPPORTUNITY:
Cosentini Associates, a Tetra Tech company, is adding an Electrical Engineer to our Electrical team based in New York. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3-10 years of experience in the design of building power systems for high rise residential, hotel, and office buildings, and other commercial, institutional and healthcare facilities.
- Proficient with the use of AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment
- PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Responsibilities:
- Performing electrical power design for variety of projects to include but not limited to: buildings and facilities, including hospitals, laboratories, high rise residential, hotel and office, and other commercial and institutional projects.
- Incorporating design changes using AutoCad and/or Revit software
- Performing service load calculations and short circuit studies
- Meeting project schedules and performing work with budgetary constraints
- Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future or current projects
- Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
