Description:

We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our team!
Hours of work - 39 hours per week, worked as 8.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 5 hours Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet specific customer requirements.
Job purpose - Designing low voltage switchboards and similar products to customer specifications.
Main Duties - Making use of estimates (prepared by others), and customer specifications to design low voltage electrical switchgear and similar products.
Compiling parts lists from the company s parts database and arranging with the purchasing team for materials to be procured in advance of production start.
Communicating requirements to CAD staff who will prepare detailed drawings for you.
Provision of handover packs to supervisory production staff and progressing queries during the build process. Agreeing and proactively managing timelines.

SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

Experience of working with or designing LV switchgear Ability to understand electrical schematics and bills of materials Ability to negotiate with internal and external customers and suppliers Ability to handle a varied number of projects at the same time Problem solving and working to deadlines Commercial awareness Basic / intermediate use of Microsoft Office and similar software CAD (basic level only as the company has a CAD department)
