Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer, working with our Olen plant operations team, is responsible for the design, engineering, programming and drafting to support our plants and projects at our surface limestone and sand and gravel facilities. This position is located at our Columbus, Ohio office/plant and will report directly to the Electrical Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure PLC/HMI controls appropriately configured and programmed to allow for efficient and consistent operation
  • Create design drawings for plant control systems and provide direction for new and existing builds including participating in the build process.
  • Maintain Plant power distribution one-line diagrams, motor starter diagrams, control panel and PLC schematics.
  • Provide cost estimates for repairs and capital improvements.
  • Materials estimating
  • Manage the electrical portion of plant projects

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or closely related field preferred.
  • 5 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering or industrial control system design and operation preferred.
  • General understanding of all applicable electrical codes (example: NEC)
  • Experience with 3 phase motor control, programmable controllers, operator interface (HMI), instrumentation, and industrial networking.
  • Experience with CAD based drafting systems.
  • Experience with the following software is a plus, but equivalent software experience is acceptable:
  • Rockwell Automation Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, RS Logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Networx and Ethernet-IP, Connected Components
  • Project leadership skills and ability to manage projects through to completion
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Adaptability, must be able to change directions quickly regarding work type, workload, and schedule.
  • Must have the ability to work in TEAM environment and adhere to our Safety 24/7 philosophy.
