- An Electrical/Instrumentation trade certification with at least five (5) years of industrial engineering experience, applicants who are currently pursuing tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded (associate degree or higher)

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Mackay Sugar has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our on-site Maintenance and Production Team at Marian Mill. Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple activities throughout the delivery lifecycle. This includes designing safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective solutions, providing timely engineering advice and concessions, identifying root causes of issues across our mills, and managing technical risks and opportunities with internal stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion WHS and environmental objectives, fostering a strong safety and environmental culture.
- Drive productivity and profitability improvements through leadership and technical support in power distribution and process control.
- Develop and implement strategic approaches to electrical maintenance and strategy development.
- Manage capital programs effectively to optimize asset utilization.
- Preserve, maintain, and update technical assets (drawings, manuals, investigation records, program code, etc.) through robust systems.
Minimum Requirements: To qualify, you must have one of the following:

In addition, both pathways necessitate:
- Proficiency in Electrical Acts, Codes of Practice, and Standards.
- Capability in High Voltage Switching and Coordination, or the potential to achieve this.
- Reasonable exposure to Process Control Systems, including PLCs and DCSs SCADA software, Networking, and Instrumentation.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in engineering application.
