Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technologist

The Opportunity:

Location: Trenton, NS- Trenton Generating Station - On site
We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will provide technical support to the various Maintenance and Operations departments, ensuring safety and loss control, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, production, maintenance, and business objectives are met.
Key elements of this role include::

• Hold a Professional Engineer designation and be a full member or eligible for membership with Engineers Nova Scotia, with 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Candidates with an Electrical Engineering Technologists Diploma and 7 to 10 years of experience will also be considered.
• Previous supervisory and/or project management experience.
• Experience in maintenance shutdown planning will be considered an asset.
• You must have strong oral and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and be able to function effectively in a team environment.
• You will be a self-starter with proven organizational and analytical skills with established skills in managing multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
• You are required to be available for after-hours consultation and emergency plant work.
• You must hold a valid driver’s license
