Description
SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to Naval Underwater Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or related technical field and two (2) or more years experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance with willingness to submit for Top Secret
  • Experience and/or familiarity with some of the following:
  • PCB design with design tool such as Altium and/or KiCad
  • Embedded systems (microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, etc).
  • Modeling and analysis techniques
  • Analog/digital circuitry
  • Ability to read and create schematics
  • MatLab
  • Programming ability in C++

Responsibilities:

  • Performs investigations and analyses of undersea vehicles and devices
  • Performs problem solving to address complex technical challenges and to develop innovative solutions
  • Works with engineers and technicians in the design and fabrication of electrical, and/or electronic test devices to be used for undersea investigations
  • Performs reverse engineering as an analysis technique and should have the ability to quickly learn new concepts, tools and methodologies
  • Dissects systems/components to determine functionality, identify the parameters for a viable counter-solution and to design/develop alternatives
