Our design department has works in the following areas and will give the successful candidate experience and training in the below:
REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS)
- In the process of completing a Bachelor’s Degree or similar in Electrical Engineering or related Discipline.
- Experience of working with AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit or Cymcap.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Team Player
- Self-motivated / Able to work on their own initiative
Responsibilities:
- Opportunity to develop skills in the design of transmission and distribution substations this would also include BESS, Data Centre and other client driven substations.
- Develop skills in substation design including producing and reviewing of schematic drawing and single line diagrams.
- Developing HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash and voltage studies.
- Developing SCADA systems from concept via topology drawings to address lists,
- Aid in the production of regulation, load flow and fault level reports.
- Completion and co-ordination with the design department on team and individual projects.
- Interface with the commercial department in the procurement of electrical substation equipment as per client and engineering regulatory standards.
- Co-ordination with equipment vendors to ensure equipment purchased meets all project requirements.
- Act as a direct contact with client as Company representative. Interface with the project management team of directors, safety managers, construction managers, engineers and quantity surveyors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
- Complying with specific project safety requirements.
