Electrical/Instrumentation Technician

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid manufacturing background.
• Extensive experience with toolmaking and machining steels and exotic materials.
• Experience with Lathes and 3 Axis Mills.
• CNC Programming a plus.
• Self-Starter with outstanding communication skills capable of managing multiple

projects and duties.

• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this

position.

• Experience with heat treatment of metallics is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and SolidWorks

DUTIES

• Create new tooling using inside machine centers, lathes and hand-tools.
• Assembling, fitting, inventory, managing and repairing tools.
• Follow engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.
• Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders.
• Use machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders to cut and shape

the tools.

• Read and create prints for new tooling as needed.
• Use 2D and 3D computer aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM).
• Use precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges and calipers to

check the tool’s dimensions.

• Monitor the tools used on the manufacturing line to ensure efficient run rates and

identify necessary repairs or possible improvements.

• Attend machine breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem.
• Provide leadership to tool maintenance process.
• Compile reports.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $33.76 - $40.55 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
