Our business relies upon well-maintained and dependable plant, equipment and services to deliver top-quality product efficiently and reliably. Investment is continuing in plant and equipment, particularly with regard to the automation of production processes, aimed at further increasing throughput and efficiency, whilst maintaining product quality and consistency.
We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and forward thinking Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team.
Responsibilities:

Key objectives of the post are:

  • to provide a rapid and effective electrical maintenance service to the whole of the factory and offices
  • to advise and design new electrical systems where required
  • to ensure minimal disruption to production processes from system breakdowns consistent with the maintenance of high standards of safety
  • to provide an efficient and reliable electrical service to the production team
  • to support and promote the Company’s aims regarding safety and quality throughout the organisation.

Qualifications:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • breakdown repair/fault finding and maintenance of factory/office plant, equipment and services, including safety systems
  • be verse on PLC systems, it does not matter which and to repair and fault find using the PLC System
  • routine inspection and maintenance of a wide range of Electrical/Electronic equipment, including industrial and domestic wiring and associated data logging
  • assisting with the development and construction of improvements and additions to production plant and systems incorporating computer controlled devices, in partnership with the mechanical maintenance engineer
  • maintenance of furnaces with associated systems and assisting production staff with the operation of furnaces for special products
  • maintenance of fork lift trucks and chargers between routine services
  • to source outside contractors for the purpose of electrical servicing of equipment where required
  • general housekeeping and maintenance of workshop areas to a high standard
  • to train operators and other maintenance personnel in the use of electrical equipment which require new or additional duties
