Description:
Overview:
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to support the Engineering operations of the Preston site on Double Day Shifts Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs in the productions departments.
- Support the Engineering/Production operations as required.
- Moving and re-installing of machinery when needed.
- Machine change overs and set ups.
- Carry out check sheets as required.
- Liaising with external contractors when necessary
- Maintaining effective working relationships with key site personnel
- Mentoring and training of single skilled engineers
- Adhering to Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety legislation
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Multi-skilled engineers ideally with both electrical and mechanical experience
- Proven track record in a multi-skilled engineering position
- Recognised engineering qualifications e.g. 17th Edition
- Be comfortable in working in a meat processing environment.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, using own initiative to solve problems.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to do additional hours as and when required to meet business demands.
