ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN

A leading manufacturer in Cardiff are eager to welcome an Electrical Engineer/technician to join their Engineering team. The successful applicant will be joining a company who are set to utilise their growth and invest back into their Engineering department. In the role of Maintenance Engineer/technician, you will be working 08:00am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

• Electrical, Electrical skills; Motors, Sensors, Relays, Drives and PLC (fault finding and basic modifications)
• You will need to hold the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, apprentice trained etc in electrical engineering
• Direct experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer
• Planned and reactive maintenance experience
• To ensure maximum machine availability, through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Installation of machinery and site services equipment.
• Need to be able to read Electrical drawings
• Proactive work attitude
• Open to any background including forces.

  Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Maintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit Electrical Engineers who like variation, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren’t afraid to apply themselves and learn new skills.
You will report to the Engineering manager and will be responsible for covering both proactive and reactive maintenance routines on both facilities and production equipment in a timely manner adhering to all Health and safety requirements.
We would consider Electrical Maintenance Engineers or Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers, however being that it is in a multi skilled environment, you must be willing learn to cover both electrical and mechanical work.
