About the Role
We present a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Electrical Engineer to join our Leven Packaging site.
Playing a critical part of the maintenance team on site, you will have the opportunity be part of a wider network – working alongside production operators, as well as other members of the maintenance team and asset care team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of all electrical assets across our Leven packaging site.
As a first response for support, you will work closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups to maximise efficiency of operational assets on site. This includes the emergency response to plant breakdown situations, where you will respond promptly and efficiently to analyse, fault find and repair root cause problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
Working Hours
Shift Pattern – Friday 7am – 7pm, Saturday 7am – 7pm & Sunday 7am – 7pm – Total of 34.5 hours per week. Rotational Nightshift required 1 in 3 working same pattern overnight.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance on site, including repairs, RCPS and the improvement of assets and their availability.
  • Work Closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups to maximise efficiency of operational assets.
  • Use of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM) for raising, updating, and recording of maintenance tasks in accordance with a weekly asset care delivery plan.
  • Deliver all electrical maintenance activities for site in accordance with a weekly/daily asset care delivery plan.
  • Act as a point of contact for asset care Manufacturing Excellence (TRACC) metric delivery at sites. Lead workstreams that produce results in improving reliability and efficiency, whilst at the same time deliver potential cost savings to the business.
  • Own and drive asset care IMPROVE activity both directly at site and within the asset care community. Actively take part in root cause problem solving (RCPS) activity and provide subject matter expertise to ensure that 100-year fixes are identified, actioned and implemented.

Qualifications/Essentials

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Time-served Electrical engineer

About you

  • You will be actively engaging with partners and the Maintenance Planning Department to ensure valuable Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks are at the core of the Maintenance Strategy.
  • You will also be required to participate in Root Cause Problem Solving sessions.
  • You will be organised and self-reliant, handling your own workload and priorities while solving problems and supporting process and equipment improvement projects.
