Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we have an engaging opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Supply team based at our growing Asquith site.
You’ll play a key role in providing technical leadership to ensure successful project execution including executing capital projects.
A major focus for this role is providing direction on engineering services, ensuring delivery of assigned objectives within scope, time, and budget while achieving the expected cash flow.
You will also provide leadership, coaching and development and drive compliance to our engineering processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager/ Engineer in developing the investment project charter and see to it that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
- Build a robust foundation for electrical and automation standardisation on site.
- Drive the site’s vision of Digitalization and Automation within each project implementation.
- During project design, ensure that the project established based on Mars Wrigley Principles, the Mars Wrigley standards, the local regulations, and the defined User Requirements Specifications.
- Ensure the value streams (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability) and the workers safety during both, the construction and the further operation of the plant.
- Develop and execute projects that meet business objectives, while ensuring compliance to safety, quality, security and environmental standards
- Drive initiatives that shorten new product and cycle times and improve implementation efficiencies as well as operational efficiencies
- Work with R&D and cross functional teams to establish design for manufacturing criteria
- Develop external business relationships including construction contractors and engineering resources
- Proactively develop practices and methodologies that increase the effectiveness and reduces the costs of engineering
- Effectively represent regional engineering function at the site and cell brand level
