Electrical Project Engineer - Rugby Cement Plant
The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of a small project’s life or all electrical and C&I aspects for larger projects as assigned by the Project Manager. Depending on the size and number of projects being managed, additional external resources may require management by the electrical project engineer to deliver the scope of work.
All capital projects, their definition and delivery will be compliant with current project procedures, based on the 5-year capital investment plan and agreed budgets. Execution of projects will adhere with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, as necessary and with CEMEX Policies & legislation to achieve our principal goal of zero injuries.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree/ HND or equivalent..
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification in construction safety management or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience of managing construction or maintenance activities.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of the application of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
  • Competent at managing contractors.
  • Good knowledge of PC programs, including CAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint applications.
  • Strong cement manufacturing knowledge preferable.
  • Financial awareness ideally with experience of costing, reporting and analysis.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deal with people at all levels, including senior managers and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of successful delivery of complex and diverse projects to timescale and budget.
  • Experience of business case preparation and delivery desirable, but not essential.
