Electrical Systems Engineer - Philadelphia PA
6+ Month Contract
Monday-Friday
$70 per hour
US Citizenship or Green Card required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of aircrafts electrical systems installations (NOT AVIONICS), as well as the standard aeronautical design, qualification, and certification procedures.
  • Must be strong with troubleshooting wiring systems within an aircraft. 90% of the work will be spent trying to find solutions for wiring routing
  • Must have Electrical Schematics/3D modeling experience e.g., SolidWorks, Catia V5 (Preferred), AutoCAD and Cadence
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including good presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience to create engineering reports, communicate them efficiently across a diverse, complex, and multicultural organization.
  • General understanding of engineering methodology, tools, and processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent specialization with 5-7 years of experience in engineering environment, preferably aerospace; or Combination of education and/or experience which would permit performance of essential duties and responsibilities.
  • Experience in test systems and writing test reports
  • FAA Certification processes experience is a plus
  • MS Office package, PLM tools (VPM, DBT, ENOVIA), SAP (fundamentals)

Responsibilities:

  • Seeking a hands-on EE with history of working on the production floor.
  • Support supplier qualification activities, including environmental qual, EMI qual reviews.
  • Ensure conformity requirement are covered for the systems/equipment under compliance testing.
  • Coordinate the substantiation of type documentation required to meet the approved certification basis, providing expertise for resolution of non-compliance, support releasing of test plans/reports in accordance to program milestones.
  • Work closely with DER in finding/showing compliance to applicable technical, programmatic and certification requirements.
  • Support preparation, verification and integration of the applicable certification plans, reports and oversight activities which show compliance.
  • Domestic and International travelling for short periods may be required on an occasional basis
