Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
McLarens deliver expert assessments on a range of insurance claims types. We have an exciting new opportunity for detail-oriented Electrical Technician to undertake expert assessments, provide comprehensive causation reports, review and validation of repair costs.
You will also be helping us grown our portfolio of machinery breakdown and fusion claims.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of various electrical appliances to identify the root cause of faults and malfunctions.
- Prepare detailed causation reports outlining the nature of the faults, the cause of the damage, and the necessary repairs or replacements required.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of findings.
- Provide expert testimony and technical explanations, if required, during the insurance claim process.
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards, appliance technologies, and diagnostic tools to maintain high accuracy in fault identification.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, diagnostics, and reports submitted.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and relevant regulations.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
- Certification or technical training in electrical items, equivalent to EAS or similar via the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) is required.
- Proven experience as an Appliance Technician with a strong background in diagnosing faults in electrical items.
- Experience in preparing causation reports for insurance claims is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, appliance mechanics, and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to locations as needed.
