M&R has an immediate opening at our Halifax location for an Electrical Technologist. This opportunity is for a talented individual who enjoys challenging projects, and interesting work, and is looking for an opportunity to develop a career within a dynamic consulting firm. You will join an established team of design professionals providing innovative solutions for challenging building design projects. You will be reporting to the Electrical Managers.
Your main responsibilities
- Coordinate, verify and design electrical building systems for various projects for different sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
- Help carry out surveys of existing conditions, draw up plans using AutoCAD and Revit, and write specifications
- Help prepare budget estimates
- Work closely with the project team to develop solutions tailored to client needs
- Provide technical support for layout and design
- Provide assistance in regard to site supervision
Your Profile
- Education: DEC (College Diploma)
- Certification: Professional Technologist or equivalent
- Experience: 1+ years
- Languages: Based on position and location
- Technical Skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Office 365
- Additional Requirement: Skilled in reading, reviewing, and designing plans
