OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Tester to join our team in the social housing sector. The role involves conducting electrical testing, inspections, and remedial works to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Testing and Inspection certification.
• Up-to-date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
• Previous experience in electrical testing within the social housing or domestic sector.

• Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in occupied and void properties.
• Perform visual inspections and functional testing of electrical installations.
• Identify faults, recommend corrective actions, and carry out remedial works as required.
• Ensure compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Prepare and issue accurate reports and certificates.
• Work collaboratively with tenants, housing officers, and maintenance teams to minimize disruption during inspections.
• Provide expert advice on electrical safety and energy efficiency measures.
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including documentation for compliance purposes.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
