We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance and Support Specialist to join our North Area Operations team. You will resolve hazards, on-site issues, and risks, provide technical support, and manage the hazspot process in the Scottish area as well as supplying cover for the North East and Cumbria in England when required.
Your role includes addressing electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and supervising operators and sub-contractors to ensure quality service delivery. You will also provide site improvement recommendations and produce necessary documentation for sub-contractor works.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Administer the hazspot reporting process.
- Deliver site improvements through team and sub-contractors.
- Manage sub-contractor relationships and supervise on-site works.
- Produce documentation for additional works.
- Collaborate with the SHE Advisor to implement initiatives, improve compliance, and reduce risk.
Responsibilities:
JOIN US AS AN INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN. YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CARRYING OUT GENERAL REPAIRS, INVESTIGATING AND RECTIFYING FAULTS, AND COMPLETING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE THE RELIABILITY OF OUR ASSETS.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll develop your commercial and/or industrial experience with assets such as electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment, instrumentation, and inverters.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The ideal candidate is a qualified electrician with strong IT skills, knowledge of process systems and Health and Safety, and a basic understanding of mechanical systems.
Additionally, working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes, and general mechanical/electrical plant would also be advantageous.
Essential qualifications include an electrical apprenticeship and as travel is required, you’ll also need to hold a full U.K driving licence.
