We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Maintenance team in support of our facility operations. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the maintenance of our equipment is in top working order to enable Smyth to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Possess thorough knowledge of all maintenance procedures
  • Ability to think through the mechanical and electrical aspects of machinery operations and decision-making
  • Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting of the electro-mechanical systems
  • Capability to monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure systems are performing according to manufacturer’s specification
  • Self-starter with effective time management for multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines
  • Must have basic math, reading, writing skills, and can tactfully communicate to customers and employees of all levels of the company
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group
  • Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization
  • Industrial machinery maintenance experience preferred
  • PLC and HMI literacy is a plus
  • Welding and/or fabricating experience is a plus

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:

  • High School degree or equivalent and/or 2+ years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems is preferred
  • Must be open to off schedule calls, and available for overtime as needed
