Description:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Team Leader, Manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to work in our world-class factory in Fremont, where we produce low-volume, highly sophisticated nano-Probing products for our semiconductor customers.

EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of electrical and mechanical assembly experience and solving complex problems, detailed components, and systems.
  • 2 + years of leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills proficient in English.
  • Digital literacy, especially Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
  • Applying the PPI business systems by using visual management systems to drive metrics.
  • Handling technical blocking issues.
  • Providing mentorship and training to other manufacturing technicians.
  • Tackling problems with equipment, devices, or products.
  • Demonstrating in-depth understanding of the function and application of our products.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met.
  • Identifying and resolving root cause for products and processes that represent excessive waste, scrap, labor, re-work, or customer returns.
  • Partnering with engineering in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures
