Ayrton Energy is Ayrton is looking for an electrochemist or electrochemical engineer with experience in electrochemical reactor evaluation and development to join our team. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in chemistry, physics or engineering or equivalent industry experience, with knowledge and experience in electrochemical reactor research and development
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of industry experience in fuel cell or electrolyzer development, or similar
  • Passionate about innovation, self-motivated and keen to learn
  • Organized and able to work on several projects concurrently
  • Experience developing process and/or synthetic protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth electrochemical experiments such as cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic cycling to evaluate material properties and performance.
  • Evaluate electrochemical reactor designs and support engineering team in the design of electrochemical reactors and balance of plant systems
  • Design, synthesize, and characterize novel electrochemical materials for electrochemical reactors for hydrogenation and dehydrogenation
  • Support material optimization efforts to improve performance and durability
  • Analyze experimental data, create technical reports, and present findings to management and stakeholders. Offer recommendations based on performance trends and material behavior under different operating conditions
  • Development of standard operating procedures. Collaborate with leadership team to define project goals, deliverables, budgets and timelines.
