Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess or obtain a valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver’s license.
- Two years of formal education or training in electronics.
- Two years of experience in maintenance and repair of Two-way radio systems and equipment.

NOTE: This is not a full-time telework position. Candidates must be able and willing to work in the office and commute to here. A hybrid work schedule may be available after training and/or probationary period has been successfully completed.
Responsibilities:
This position works closely with ESD management and Supervisors, other Senior Telecommunications Specialists, ECST-Shop technicians, Communications Division Station Managers and Communication Officers, the District Commander and command staff, and WSP customers, both internal and external. This can range from project planning, providing repair and maintenance of issued electronic equipment and answering technical questions, to providing training or assisting the customer with problem resolution by referring them to the appropriate resource.
Technicians may perform work at remote communications sites to support radio system maintenance and repair and/or projects. This travel may result in overnight stays. These locations are accessed by unimproved or primitive roads and may exist in remote areas of the state. Personnel may be required to work outside in all weather conditions.
Our new teammate will be able to:
- Provides WSP and contracted outside agencies installation, programming, and repairs for walk in or scheduled appointments in assigned geographical location.
- Respond to Emergency Communication System service outages, working under the direction of a technical lead, to restore service to affected parties as quickly as possible.
- Updates and maintains WSP inventory systems and necessary databases.
- Provide support for projects and large scale deployments by preparing equipment for installation or issue.
