  • Apply knowledge of design methods such as worst-case analysis, circuit simulation, design & process failure mode analysis tools, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), schematic capture, Specification Compliance Matrix (or equivalent).
  • Obtain input from, collaborate with electronic suppliers, and deliver prototype hardware to application engineering teams.
  • Be part of the decision-making process in the areas of hardware requirements, validation test that impact unit cost, functionality, and prototype delivery.
  • Be part of the problem resolution for components, products, systems, subsystems, or services with a low degree of technical complexity and ambiguity.

You will make an impact by:

  • Using electronic hardware and interconnections to measure and control systems
  • Using your knowledge of electrified systems to ensure a system design meets Cummins and customer expectations
  • Mitigating potential product failure modes to improve the reliability of the product
